The belt thickener is used for sludges thickening, formed from water, domestic wastewater and industrial wastewater treatment plants.
It can also be used as the first stage of dewatering, complete with different dehydrators for increase their capacity in raw sludge or in the technological processes that require the separation of liquid from a solid product.
The belt thickener consists of a frame, a filtering belt with the sludge distributing system that is stretched between the rollers and the knife for belt’s cleaning. The filtering belt is driven by a gear-motor drive. A dynamic mixer for mixing a reagent with sewage sludge.

How it works
Technology of the plant's operation
Initial precipitate is supplied to the dynamic mixer, where it is mixed with a reagent to intensify the moisture separation process. Thereafter the precipitate comes on the moving belt. By means of the distribution system the sludge is evenly distributed on the belt, which increases the effect of moisture separation. Supernatant comes through the belt, gathers in the tray and is removed through the centrate discharge manifold. The thickened sludge is removed from the belt for further processing or disposal. The filtering belt is flushed to prevent its contamination.
