Equipment for physical-chemical wastewaters treatment from hydrophobic undissolved impurities (oil products, oils, surface active agents, suspended solids, organic nonsolutes etc.) due to adsorption of suspended solids to the interface (water-air).
The method is based on the ability of undissolved impurities in wastewater to build flotocomplexes (to aggregate with air bubbles under the action of surface tension forces) and to go up to the surface, passing into the foam layer.
It is used for wastewaters treatment in various branches:
• Paper industry;
• food (meat and dairy-, oil and fat- etc.) industries;
• petrochemical production;
• electroplating industry;
• treatment of storm-, melt- and other wastewaters;
• sludge separation in domestic wastewaters treatment;
• treatment of water from agricultural plants.
Technology of the plant’s operation
Feed water is supplied to the flotator’s receiving chamber, where feed water mixes with the oversaturated with air recirculating waters. In the process of passing the effluents through the floating chamber, occurs floatation of hydrophobic impurities and their extraction on the surface as froth product. The precipitation and froth are removed from the flotator by means of a scraper device into the sludge collector. Treated water comes to the floated water chamber.
Air and water mixture is prepared in the recirculation line by means of the vortex pump, equipped with an ejection device (one of manufacturing variants) or in the pressure saturator, where recirculation flow is supplied with the pump unit and air is transferred with the compressor. Water intake for recycling is carried out from the floated water reservoir (chamber).
