Non-pressure block-modular water treatment plant «Crystall-B»
The technology is based on the method of contact biochemical iron and manganese oxidization in the presence of air oxygen in the oxidizing chamber and subsequent filtering on rapid filters. There is provided the most stable work of the plant in a wide range of treated water compositions and with a possibility to remove the dissolved gases (carbon dioxide, hydrogen sulphide etc.), reduction of oxidizability, colority and ammonia. That is achieved by enhanced aeration and including of a biological component of the contact oxidization process.
Filters’ and overflow chamber’s housings are cylinders, manufactured of the spirally twisted HDPE pipe or stainless steel.
The set of equipment of non-pressure block-modular water treatment plant «Crystall-B» is individually calculated for each facility, based on the data about the chemical compound of the feed water.
Technology of the plant’s work
Feed water from the wells is being transferred through pipelines to the aeration system of the filter module «Crystall B-О» and flowed out on the contact immobilizing load «Bio-Yozh», consisting of free swimming elements with the developed free surface, where occurs the enrichment of water with air oxygen (aeration). Dissolved iron Fe2+ and manganese Mn2+ transform into an insoluble form Fe3+ and Mn3+ because of the vital activity of iron- and manganese-oxidizing bacteria and partially release in the form of a precipitate in the bottom part of the filter «Crystall B-О». Water degassing from all fossil gases occurs at the same time.
The pretreated water from the first stage filter comes to the lower zone of the second stage filter through the distribution system. In the process of water filtering through the filter bed, carried out of the bioreactor micro floc of the oxidized iron forms is detained. Residual concentrations of dissolved iron and manganese are additionally oxidized and removed.
Filtered water from the upper part of the filter is brought to the clean water reservoirs through the overflow column.
Flushing of floating load is carried out with a downstream of clean water, stored in the above-filter space of filter modules «Crystall B-S».
Usage of biochemical processes of the oxidation of iron and manganese enables to treat the water with рН more than 6,0 and of low temperature (+4˚ - +5˚С).
