Reconstruction of the water treatment plant from a surface water source

The problem of clean water has long been a concern of inhabitants of the city Buy. There was an acute need for modernization of the available water treatment equipment. The present project became a part of the program «Clean water» and its implementation was closely monitored by the mayor Igor Ralnikov, governor of the Kostroma region Sergey Sitnikov and the enterprise for monitoring over building activities «RosStroyControl».

The reconstruction of the plant of capacity 4300 m3/day was conducted in two phases by LLC «Ecovodstroy» - general representative of Unitary Enterprise «Polymerconstruction» on the territory of the Russian Federation. The first phase was the reconstruction of the plant building itself, the second phase – technological equipment assembling. The water treatment plant provides clean water for 18 000 people.

The water treatment technology is a two-stage treatment of feed water from the Kostroma river from increased oxidizability, turbidity, colority and iron. 

On the 25th of December 2021 the plant was put into operation and successfully fulfilled the set task.
