Pressure flotator Crystall-FN

The flotator Crystall-FN is meant for physicochemical wastewater treatment (industrial, storm, domestic wastewater, etc.) from oil, grease, suspended solids, organic substances, surface-active substances and other insoluble pollutants and hydrophobic impurities. The flotation method is based on the ability of pollutants present in wastewater to form flotation complexes (aggregate with air bubbles under surface tension) and rise to the surface going into the froth. Only hydrophobic particles are able to float. Therefore, in order to intensify the treatment process in the flotator, it is recommended to use additional reagents, which, getting absorbed on the pollutants surface, reduce their wettability and increase treatment efficiency. Application of coagulants allows to remove pollutants present in water in the form of stable emulsions and suspended solids, as well as in a colloidal state. Dosing of chemical reagents and their mark are determined during commissioning works or on the basis of the technological research.   

The flotator is usually used in systems of multistage wastewater treatment as an intermediate stage for increasing the degree of treatment or capacity; it can be also used as an independent plant.

The flotator is meant for work in a closed heated room with air temperature not lower than + 5 °C. The room must be equipped with a forced ventilation system.

The pressure flotators Crystall-FN are manufactured with the capacity from 1 to 150 m3/hour. Flotators of nonstandard capacity or construction can be also manufactured, but only taking into account local conditions of the facility and on the basis of engineering calculations.

Wastewater is supplied to the flotator inlet chamber under pressure or by gravity (if the elevation difference and the hydraulic scheme allow). In the inlet chamber, wastewater is mixed with the chemical solution. Considering wastewater specificity, the chemical solution can be supplied into the mixing tank placed in front of the inlet chamber. Recirculating water-air mixture is also supplied to the inlet chamber. Then the working solution enters the flotation chamber, where separation of wastewater and pollutants occurs. Most pollutants are removed from the flotator as flotation sludge (foam product). Heavy and coarsely dispersed pollutants fall to the bottom of the flotator in the form of a residue. Treated water flows through the drain chute into the tank of clean flotated water.

Flotation sludge is collected from the water surface by the scraper device. Residues and bottom sediments that appear during flotator operation are removed by the screw conveyor.

Water-air mixture preparation is carried out in the recycle loop with the help of the turbulence pump, which is equipped with an ejection device, or with the help of the compressor supplying air into the saturator. Water for recirculation is taken from the tank of clean flotated water.

The manufactory produces flotators in three versions: made of stainless steel, polymer materials and black steel with corrosion-resistant coating.
