Block-modular car wash water treatment plant Crystall-T
The plant Crystall-T is meant for organization of recycling water supply in car service centers: car washes, service stations, etc. The plant is equipped with necessary pumping equipment and treated water storage tanks. At Customer’s request, Crystall-T can be complimentary equipped with high-pressure units.
The technology is based on the method of electrocoagulation followed by filtration on filters with floating bed.
This technological scheme allows to treat wastewater in stable mode in accordance with requirements of technical water supply.

Treatment efficiency (oil products) | 70% |
Treatment efficiency (suspended solids, SS) | 97% |
The block-modular car wash water treatment plant Crystall-T is meant for treatment of wastewater contaminated with oil, mechanical impurities, surface active substances, formed during car washing in garages, car service centers, car washes, military bases, etc. Treated water can be reused for operation of high pressure wash units; it allows to save up to 80% of water and significantly (in 5 times) reduce detergent consumption.
Besides, implementation of the plants in recycling water supply systems of car washes allows to meet sanitary requirements on nature protection.
Wastewater treatment is achieved by using the combined nonchemical technology, including mechanical, electrochemical and physicochemical treatment. Treated water quality allows to use it in recycling water supply systems of car washes or discharge it into sewerage networks.
The plants Crystall-T are made of constructional polymer materials, what guarantees durability and reliability in operation; they are compact and allow to realize wastewater treatment to given parameters without applying reagents, do not require constant maintenance, can be equipped with complimentary polymer tanks for treated water.
The plants Crystall-T have received industrial approval and are used in recycling water supply systems of transport companies for a long time.
Constructionally, the plants consist of the following units: clarifier with electrical reactor, filter with floating bed and washing system, treated water tank. All units of the plant are placed in one body and are hydraulically interconnected.
The control board of the plant automatically controls power circuits of the electrical reactor and the wastewater supply pump.

Plant operation at car washes is provided as follows: after car washing, wastewater enters the settling tank (1) (placing, construction, dimensions are determined by the car wash project). Primary sedimentation of coarse mechanical impurities and detention of salvo discharge of oil products occur in the settling tank.
From the settling tank, the pump (2) supplies wastewater to the electrical reactor unit (3), where, as a result of dissolving of aluminum electrodes under constant electric current, coagulation of micro and colloid particles of coarse impurities and of emulsified oil particles is provided, i.e. flocculation of hydroxide aluminum and sorption of impurity particles.
Further, water moves downflow to the clarifier chamber (4), where coarsening of suspended solids of impurities and their gravitational sedimentation occur. Sludge is collected in the conical bottom part of the clarifier and is periodically (once a week) removed into the settling tank by opening the ball valve (8).
Water from the clarifier moves to the filter (5) with the floating filter bed, where, during coagulation and filtration in the layer of synthetic material, which collects impurities from treated water in its interporous space, contact postclarification occurs. Filter bed regeneration is performed by backwashing downflow by means of water reserve in above filter space. Wash water is discharged into the settling tank (1) through the distribution system (9).
After the filter, treated water moves to the treated water tank (6) of the plant Crystall-T, from where flows to the wash unit (10) by gravity.
As Crystall-T works in the recycling water supply system, it is necessary to refill the system with fresh water to compensate natural losses. Usually, refilling is performed by city water used at the final stage of car washing.
